The topic for this time on Tell Me About … is WANTS and NEEDS, but first I would like to thank all of you who linked up posts about Life Getting in the Way the last time. Unfortunately for me life really did get in the way and I have not been able to be around as much as I usually would. I apologise for the fact that I only got to reading and commenting on your posts today but I am so glad that I did as they were so honest, open and helpful. I realise that everyone is busy, but if you have the time to comment on posts too, that is always encouraging for those who have written them and much appreciated.
This week I would like to highlight the post The Way I Am by Purple Sole. It is lovely to have PS back for Tell Me About and reading this post just reminded me why I love his writing. ‘The Way I Am’ explores not just the fact that life can get in the way, but that we can allow our own insecurities to get in the way too. PS gives his usual open and honest account and shares the ways that he tried to manage this within his relationship. Check out PS’s post by clicking on the link below.
Wants and Needs
The main focus for a D/s relationship is on meeting the needs of the other. How do you identify and share what those needs are? How do you ensure that they are met? Is there a difference between what you want and what you need in a relationship? What are your wants and needs as a Dom or a sub? This time on Tell Me About… we are asking you about Wants and Needs so feel free to interpret and apply this to yourself and/or your relationship in anyway you want.
If you are writing about sexual wants and needs then you might want to double up your post for Talking about Sexual Health where the current topic is libido and the topic for May will be Masturbation.
Please share your thoughts about Wants and Needs and then link for us here on Tell Me About…
